Beverly Hills kicked off Beijing Culture Month with a spectacular Chinese New Year event at the Saban Theatre. The performance included a full production of internationally acclaimed artists from the Beijing Performance & Arts Group and included acrobats, Peking Opera and other extraordinary dance and musical acts. The Embrace Civility Award recognizes people who contribute to civility and exemplify positive human relations in all aspects of community life. "Live Love Joy" Heart Healthy Lunch & Learn Workshop

The City of Beverly Hills and the Cardiovascular Research Foundation of Southern California hosted the 2nd Heart Healthy Lunch and Learn workshop in the Magnolia Room of the new Roxbury Park Community Center. Doctor Harold Karpman was on hand to provide expert tips on reducing stress and controlling other risk factors of heart disease. On Sunday August 3rd the Beverly Hills Farmers Market celebrates it's 20th anniversary with the 2nd annual PickleFest contest and celebration sponsored by legendary delicatessen Nate 'n Al. The free event features entertainment, family-friendly fun, crafts and contest for "Best Dill Pickle".
